The Chazon Ish’s Recipe for Blessing

The Chazon Ish pointed those seeking a blessing toward the Torah itself and the way of life described in it.

The Torah is itself a blessing.

To anyone who asked him for a blessing, the Chazon Ish would say: “Observe everything written in the Torah, and a blessing is assured to you, for the Torah is itself a blessing.”

The true source of goodness: rather than seeking external signs, miracles or personal blessings from sages, the Chazon Ish points to the Torah itself. The path it describes already contains everything needed for a harmonious and blessed life. Observing the commandments is not a condition for receiving a reward; it is itself a blessed way of life.
