A Mom's Thoughts - How Lucky I Am with My Job
My husband came home from work tired; as usual, I was like a horse that had been run into the ground—“just shoot me”...

My husband saw how worn out I looked and said:

“You're so lucky—you spent the whole day creating and raising ‘humans,’ being there with them, watching them smile and laugh, comforting them when they were upset and sad... while I spent the whole day on some strange virtual tasks that might not even really exist, talking to people I don't know and don't want to know... I spent my entire day on pointless fuss...”

And you know, just now, as I was putting the little ones to sleep, I sat beside them and did much less shushing and much more looking at them—at their little noses, eyelashes, fingers, and legs—soon they will be grown men and fathers.

And with more patience, I answered my growing girls' endless questions—what made them sigh, what worried and frightened them, what they dreamed of—until they fell asleep. I listened to their breathing and thought: they are an extension of me, and they will carry me forward when they grow up and become mothers...

Yes, I really do have the best job, even cooler than Google and Wix; my project is far cooler, and my investment is the most profitable!

And may G-d grant that I don't forget this tomorrow morning :)
