Preparation
Golden-brown cake... or honey cake :) Honestly! I nearly swallowed my hand along with the spoon... simple and delicious!
Make the custard in the usual way, cooking the eggs with the milk. Add the butter at the end so it melts into the custard. Let cool.
Make a caramel from the honey and baking powder (in a saucepan on the stove), cooking it for about 3 minutes until it turns a darker color. Beat the eggs with the sugar until pale. Reduce the mixer speed and mix the dry ingredients, honey, and melted butter into the egg mixture. The mixture should be smooth.
Roll out 9 portions. Chill. After an hour, bake each one in a preheated oven (on parchment paper) for 3-4 minutes. The temperature should be 210 degrees. Don't let them dry out! Any shape will do! Round, square... whatever you like.
Let the baked cake layers cool. Spread them with custard. Set aside overnight.
Enjoy!
