Healthy Desserts for Kids—A Gelatin Dessert Recipe
LifeHow do you make healthy desserts for children?

In these “tips for the homemaker,” I’ll explain how to quickly and easily make a colorful, delicious gelatin dessert using gelatin and natural juices. I really don’t want our children eating unhealthy mass-produced sweets packed with stabilizers, and I am just as reluctant to keep denying them desserts. I found a solution, and now I make healthy, simple desserts for the whole family!

In this video, I’ll explain how to make a delicious, low-calorie, beautiful gelatin dessert using natural fish gelatin. Gelatin contains amino acids and other substances that are beneficial to the human body, so there is no reason not to use gelatin for our purpose—to make healthy desserts.

Gelatin dessert recipe using juice or a berry drink:

Soak 1 packet of gelatin (14 g) in 1 cup of cold water, stir, and leave for 20-25 minutes.

Once the gelatin has swollen, heat the gelatin mixture to 70-80 degrees (do not bring it to a boil), stirring constantly. The gelatin mixture will become clear and liquid, like water.

Add the prepared solution to 2 and a half cups of juice—any kind your children like!

You can chop and add any fruit you like. Stir and pour into molds.

Refrigerate for 10 hours. THE GELATIN DESSERT IS READY!

1. To make the gelatin dessert slide out of the mold easily “upside down,” dip the mold in hot water for a minute.

2. To create a pattern of fruit pieces on top of the gelatin dessert, arrange the pattern on the bottom of the mold and pour a spoonful of the gelatin mixture over it. Let it set for a few minutes, then add the rest of the mixture; otherwise, the pieces of fruit will simply float to the top.

3. You can arrange attractively sliced fruit or berries on top of the gelatin dessert once it has set.

4. You can even make a gelatin dessert from chocolate milk or cappuccino.

In the next video, I’ll share a recipe for healthy, delicious ice cream!
