Mom's Morning Workout

Who said Mom isn't in shape? That she doesn't get enough fitness training and Pilates? Mom can give you all a hundred-point head start! Here's her standard exercise routine:

The morning starts with stretching - several offspring stretch Mom, each in a different direction. One - two, Mooom...

Moving on - exercises with weights. And not ordinary little dumbbells, but the full weight of (pre)schoolboys and (pre)schoolgirls who need to be lifted... set down on the floor... no, lifted again...

After lifting weights, next come head, neck, and arm rotations, torso twists, balancing exercises, throwing exercises, and acrobatic jumps -

all at once, because Mom begins her daily morning "coordination and balance exercises" (oh, and fine motor skills too :))

washing cup-toothbrush-diaper-braid-tights-breakfast-plates-hairbrush-ponytail-glasses-milk-sleeves-buttons-sandwich-bag-bottle-shoes-shoelaces... and, repeat the exercise...

Moving on to bends and squats - where's the sock? where's the shoe? where's the notebook? where's the other shoe?

At this stage, the especially advanced moms lie on the floor beside the sofa and perform several asanas in succession :)

The morning goes on! Having opened all her "chakras," Mom dashes out for her morning run - stop, school shuttle! bus, wait! faster, faster, we're late for ... :)

(And the most restless athletic moms round out their morning routine with water treatments - there's plenty of room for imagination here, from vigorous aquatic exercise "Wash That Bottom" to a relaxing hand massage "Yesterday's Dishes"...)

The morning workout is over. Mom finishes her exercises on the doormat with every mom's favorite asana - "corpse pose" :)

Next up - afternoon and evening workouts!

And you were talking about exercise...
