Prayer for trust in God and success in one’s endeavors
For a complete recovery and great success, health and long life for Baruch ben Sarah

תפילה על אמונה ובטחון

A prayer for faith and trust exclusively in the Almighty, the Creator and Source of everything. This prayer may be recited daily as an additional supplication, for example, after Shacharit (the morning prayer). And, through the strengthening of our trust in Him, He will answer all our prayers, provide us with sustenance and grant us success in all our endeavors.

EnglishHebrewEnglish transliteration

Our Father in heaven! We know that the essence and foundation of Judaism is complete faith, and that the existence, goodness and success of Your people Israel depend upon pure faith and wholehearted trust in Your holy and great Name. It is our duty always to remember that You are the Creator, Master and Ruler of everything, and that all is under Your providence. Nothing is beyond You, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. You cause everything to grow and strengthen it; all our goodness, success and life are in Your hands. You alone help and sustain, save and deliver, grant goodness and compassion. You nourish everyone and provide sustenance and food. The fulfillment of all our needs and wishes is in Your hands. We know that no independent power, and no creature, can bring harm or benefit, good or evil, except through the expression of Your will. You are the cause of all causes, the foundation of all foundations, the Master of all actions.
Therefore we turn to You, pouring out our pleas and requests; like the poor and needy we knock upon Your doors. Compassionate Father, please have mercy on us. Place love and reverence for You in our hearts and in the hearts of all Your people, the house of Israel. Grant us complete faith in You, that You are King and You are One, in Your individual providence and in Your holy and perfect Torah. Grant us always, in everything, complete, wholehearted and very firm trust in You, without weakness or wavering, so that we know neither worry nor fear. Guard and save us from envy, hatred and rivalry, so that we always rejoice greatly in every Jew’s success and well-being.
Our Father in heaven! We place our hopes in You; please sustain us! Fulfill our desires and requests in Your compassion. You are our trust; may Your mercy meet us soon. Through the merit of our holy forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and of all the righteous, pious, upright and wholehearted people who believed and trusted in You with all their heart and soul, be gracious to us, answer us and hear our prayer.
Send blessing and success to all the work of our hands and provide sustenance from Your generous and full hand, so that Your people, the house of Israel, need not depend upon one another’s gifts or those of another nation. Give each person his sustenance and provide each body’s needs. Hasten our redemption without delay, rebuild our Temple, the house of our holiness and splendor, and grant us a share in Your Torah. There we shall serve You with awe, as in ancient days and former years. May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be acceptable to You, L-rd, my support and my salvation.
