After reading the passage about the manna, the following prayer should be recited thoughtfully. In it, we proclaim that our livelihood depends solely on the Almighty and ask that the merit of reciting these holy verses help us and the entire Jewish people receive everything we need in abundance.

On weekdays, recite:

You are the L-rd; You alone. You made the heavens and the highest heavens, the earth and everything upon it, the seas and everything within them, and You sustain the life of all. You constantly performed great miracles and signs for our ancestors. In the wilderness You rained bread from heaven for them and brought water out of the flinty rock; You supplied everything they needed, and their garments did not wear out. In Your great compassion and abundant goodness, likewise provide us with sustenance and everything we need, and meet the many needs of Your people, the house of Israel, generously and abundantly, without great toil or exertion, from Your pure hand rather than human hands. May it be Your will, L-rd my G-d and G-d of my ancestors, to prepare for me and all my household everything we lack and provide for all our needs, every day of our lives according to our need, every hour according to our requirements and every bone in our bodies according to its vital needs. Do this as befits Your good and generous hand, rather than according to our insignificant deeds, limited goodness and meager kindness.
