Basya Tsybukmakher
It is taught in the name of ha-kadmonim (the great sages of earlier generations) that during the final week of the outgoing year, one can rectify all the weekdays of that entire year: the first day (Sunday) rectifies all the first days of all the weeks of the year (that is, all the Sundays), the second day (Monday)—all the second days (that is, all the Mondays), and so on, while the final Shabbat of the outgoing year correspondingly rectifies all the year's Shabbats.
